ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide direct and ongoing contact with the residents, physicians, staff members, families and vendors for the purpose of monitoring the physical, mental and social functioning of the resident; in an effort to prevent or resolve developmental, health, behavioral and interpersonal challenges for the residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN RN CHARGE/SUPERVISOR: Acts in a self-directed manner and can organize and prioritize tasks. Demonstrates teamwork ability. Serves as a resident advocate. Conducts thorough nursing assessments and incident reports of residents. Follows standard nursing care practices for treatment and medication distribution. Maintains current documentation and other clinical records, ensuring completeness in a timely manner. Provides all nursing services as mandates by state and federal agencies. Develops routing visitation schedules, with special exceptions to residents. Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. Transcribe physician’s orders to resident charts, treatment/care plans, as required. Follow treatment/care plans, as required. Chart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident’s response to the care, needing immediate attention. Facilitates orientation and training of all necessary staff involved with the care of the residents. Demonstrates willingness for continuing education.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Minimum 1-year experience as nursing supervisor. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state; BSN preferred. Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.

QUALIFICATIONS: RN – BSN preferred, gerontology certification a plus or willingness to obtain gerontology certification. Previous experience in a RN position is a requirement. Active PA RN license 1+ years’ experience in the long-term care field preferred Experience with the older population. Our client, a senior living facility located in Wright County, IA, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing management and a passion for providing high-quality care to patients. This is a full-time salaried position with a 45-hour work week.

Responsibilities:

• Makes rounds to assess quality of resident care and staff compliance.
• Ensures all nursing units are staffed according to residents’ acuity and needs.
• Coordinates on call nursing staff to ensure coverage for staffing issues, availability for nursing issues requiring the presence of staff.
• Recruits and interviews new licensed nursing employees; and counsels, disciplines or terminates nursing employees, as needed.
• Deals with employee performance issues (counsel, discipline, terminate & monitor).

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing is necessary. Completion of Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Certification: Current RN license is required. Employee must be in good standing with the state. Possession of a current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers CPR certificate is required.
• Experience: Sufficient experience in order to perform daily tasks with an understanding of the duties involved. Must have a minimum of five (5) years general nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in long-term care and two (2) years’ experience in either supervision, administration, consultation or involvement in the long-term care survey process.

The Director of Nursing should be a seasoned long term care nurse, aware of Iowa nursing home regulations. They should be comfortable addressing issues and holding staff accountable, and must be fiscally responsible to the budget; such as OT, PPD, supplies, etc.

We are recruiting for an experienced, part time NP! Our client is a counseling center located in Berks County, PA. The ideal candidate is available 20hrs/wk during operating hours, M-Th: 8am-8pm and F: 8am-4pm.

Primary responsibilities include:

Evaluating patients by observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; administering and interpreting psychological tests; ordering laboratory tests and evaluating results.

Assisting in the development of treatment plans by determining nature and extent of integrated care conditions disorders.

Role: Relief Supervisor Hours:

11pm-7am This role will oversee the overall function of the nursing shift, ensuring a high-quality, respectful environment for our residents. This Full-Time role will be split into working part time as an RN Relief Supervisor and part time as a Med Nurse.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

– Organize, supervise and evaluate resident care including overseeing the function of the respective shift.

– Review verbal information and written documentation from previous shifts.

– Communicate resident updates with physicians, families, nursing team and other departments, as necessary.

– Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, deaths, as appropriate with the respective shift.

– Assist with physician orders/reviews, nursing assessments and care planning.

– Address staffing issues as they occur, and resident, family, staff, vendor concerns as they arise.

– Assist with staff education/traning, as needed or directed, and provide counseling and coaching as needed.

– Assist with performance evaluations on the respective shift for the nurse aides and nurses.

– Maintain communication between staff and Director of Nursing and department heads by attending meetings, trainings, and through email, phone, or in person.

– Participate in wound assessments and care.

– Assist in regulatory based tasks (includin resident matrix updates, audits, etc) as assigned. DUTIES:

– Provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services

– Takes and records residents’ vital signs.

– Observes residents and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to the medical personnel in charge.

– Administers specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, and notes time and amount on residents’ charts.

– Collects samples, such as urine, blood, and sputum, from residents for testing.

– Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of patient information

QUALIFICATIONS

– Valid CA Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
