Role: Relief Supervisor Hours:
11pm-7am This role will oversee the overall function of the nursing shift, ensuring a high-quality, respectful environment for our residents. This Full-Time role will be split into working part time as an RN Relief Supervisor and part time as a Med Nurse.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
– Organize, supervise and evaluate resident care including overseeing the function of the respective shift.
– Review verbal information and written documentation from previous shifts.
– Communicate resident updates with physicians, families, nursing team and other departments, as necessary.
– Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, deaths, as appropriate with the respective shift.
– Assist with physician orders/reviews, nursing assessments and care planning.
– Address staffing issues as they occur, and resident, family, staff, vendor concerns as they arise.
– Assist with staff education/traning, as needed or directed, and provide counseling and coaching as needed.
– Assist with performance evaluations on the respective shift for the nurse aides and nurses.
– Maintain communication between staff and Director of Nursing and department heads by attending meetings, trainings, and through email, phone, or in person.
– Participate in wound assessments and care.
– Assist in regulatory based tasks (includin resident matrix updates, audits, etc) as assigned. Education & Experience:
Minimum/ Registered Nurse degree preferred/Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Minimum/ 1 year experience specific to long term care or 2 years nursing experience
Professional Membership, Licensures, Certifications: Minimum/ Current Registered Nurse Licensed in the State of PA. Preferred/ Current Registered Nurse licensed in the State of PA.
